On Sept 15th Master of Ceremonies, Gen of Genitorturers, will lead a “Time Travel Nightlife Adventure” embarking at Ybor City’s historic Castle, when the past and future intersect for a fashion fusion event featuring a Steampunk infused fashion show from designers: Synthflesh, Horehead Designs, Raven Devell Designs as well as valve-swelling neo-burlesque performances by : Vita Devoid, Angelica Syn, and captivating aerialism from Cirque Du Risque Aerial Artisans.

DJ Curse Mackey (Pigface/TKK) will fabricate an industrialized concoction of electro-swing, dark cabaret, gypsy industrial punk, & dance music from times gone by or times that never were.

Suggested modes of Steampunk Dress to include: Cyber Victorian, Very Wild West, Undersea Fantasy, Neo-Vintage, goggles, gadgets, goth, Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter, 20,000 Leagues under the Sleaze, adventures in time travel, 19th century naughtiness…

“Cirque Du Risque” features arial & live performances throughout the night in the castle’s newly renovated Tower Room & Main room with VIP party in the DunGen.

Special guest DJ’s “Letz Massacre” featuring Combichrist’s Joe Letz & Ny Ink’s Megan Massacre will be spinning in the main room from 12-2am!

Dj IX will be spinning in the VIP DunGen 10-3 am

LETZ MASSACRE is a New York based DJ duo formed by Joe Letz, a multi-faceted musician known for his work with Combichrist, AMEN, and The Genitorturers along with many others; and Megan Massacre, a tattoo artist starring on the TLC reality show NY Ink. The duo made their live debut at a party at the Wooster Street Social Club, the tattoo shop featured in the show. This event was captured by the TLC camera crew for episode 7 of Season 2 of NY Ink and had an air date of 2/9/12. LETZ MASSACRE performances feature selected tracks curated from their massive library of techno, electro, dub-step, pop, EBM, industrial and even ’80s new wave classics.

When Rock Island closed in 2006 after a long, legendary run, it left a big hole in the gothic and industrial community. While there are still rumors that Rock Island will one day start up again, it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, for those who frequented the legendary club on 15th Street, there’s a good chance you’ll run into somebody you know at Milk on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when the club hosts ’80s & ’90s Retro/Goth nights. Resident DJ Mike Rich spins a thoroughly decent set of new wave from the Reagan era, with a bit of old-school goth thrown in; Paul Italiano, FashioNation owner, spins at the club once a month. (Both Rich and Italiano are former Rock Island DJs.) While Milk, with its Clockwork Orangetheme, is a bit small, it’s still a great spot to get your retro dance on and hang with a fascinating mix of folks, some decked out in full goth regalia.
